Students in Mr. Van Hines high school history class have been diving into the fascinating world of medieval times by designing their very own coats of arms! This project gave them a chance to explore history, symbolism, and creativity while learning how emblems were used to represent families, values, and traditions. Did you know that Alcona Schools also has its own coat of arms? In fact, we even have a blazon; which is a formal description of a coat of arms, flag, or similar emblem, from which someone could reconstruct an accurate image of it. What a great way for our students to connect with both history and school pride! #alconaschools

Throwback to our Elementary Summer Fun Program! After painting colorful birdhouses, students cooled off with a 30-foot slip-and-slide and a 7-foot rocket-ship sprinkler. The day was filled with creativity, laughter, and plenty of splashes , making it a summer memory to remember! #alconaschools #summerfun #throwback

At Alcona Schools, student safety is our top priority. That’s why we support the Ok2Say initiative, which encourages students to speak up when they see or hear something concerning. Whether it’s about a friend, a classmate, or themselves, it’s always Ok2Say. Together, we can create a safer, more supportive school community. To report a confidential tip about criminal activity or potential harm directed at our school, a classmate, or teacher, text 652729. #alconaschools #okay2say #studentsafety #tigerpride
