There will be NO baseball game Thursday, April 25! Softball is still ON!
The Alcona Track and Field programs are having their annual flower and veggie sale! Harger's Garden Center of Glennie will be supplying us with their lovely vegetation to sell for 2 days!! All profits from the sale will go to the middle school and high school track programs at Alcona. The cost of the plants are the same as you will find at Hargers!! The sale will be on Thursday May 2nd and Friday May 3rd in the Alcona High School parking lot from 4-7 pm each night. Spread the word and make arrangements to come get your veggie flats, flower flats, hanging baskets, gallon tomatoes, and regal geraniums! Let's sell the whole truckload this year!! Go Tigers!!

NHS is hosting their last Coffee for Veterans for the 23-24 school year on May 5th! It will be from 12 to 2pm at the Sugar Shack and will include a Walk and Talk.
Parents/Guardians of Students in Health Class (mostly 9th grade students): Health class will begin their reproductive health unit later this week. Letters with an option to opt out were sent home, but the dates were a bit off. If you have any questions about the unit or would like to opt your child out, please email thomasc@alconaschools.net or call the MS/HS office at 989-736-8534 by Wednesday, April 24 by 3 pm.
The Alcona Tigers Track and Field teams completed in their first invite of the season tonight in Mancelona. Both teams did very well despite winds and snowy conditions! The boys team took home a 2nd place trophy!! Two school records were also broken. The 4x100 team of Jeremiah Bullis, Evan Woods, Karsen Gonyea, and Garrett Somers broke the old record of 45.65 s, with a new time of 45.52 s. The other record taken was the oldest record on the board! Jeremiah Bullis now holds the 100 M record with a time of 11.01s. Go Tigers!!
