Today was a High Five Friday! A special thank you to the 2026 Winterfest Court for brightening our elementary students’ morning! Join us today at 4:30pm for JV Boys Basketball, 6pm for Varsity Girls Basketball, and 7:30pm for Varsity Boys Basketball! The Winterfest Court will be presented and the King and Queen will be crowned during half-time of the varsity boys game. Today the Students Leading Students and Alcona Junior Honor Society enjoyed a fun and well-earned team-building trip! Members voted to take on an action-packed game of laser tag, followed by dinner at Culver’s. It was a great opportunity for students to bond, build teamwork, and celebrate their hard work and commitment to leadership and service; all while having a blast together. This summer Close Up students will be taking a trip to Washington, D.C. for a hands-on learning experience to explore government by visiting monuments, museums, and Capitol Hill, taking part in discussions and debates, and more. To help fund their trip they are doing a can and bottle drive. If you have cans/bottles to donate please drop them off in the fenced area outside CLAW Academy; which is located at the entrance to our Transportation Department. Thank you! #alconaschools #closeup
