Twenty seven Alcona students traveled to Pellston bright and early today for a FTC Robotics qualification competition. The ten teams of students competed and faired really well. All teams should be proud of their effort.

The 6th graders will be traveling to Lincoln Haven Nursing Home and Rehab on Monday, November 25th from 9:30-10:30. Students will be visiting and interacting with the residents at the nursing home. The goal of the trip is to have the 6th graders give back to their community. We will be visiting various community sites as the year progresses.

Congratulations to our winners: 1st place - Grace Atkinson; 2nd place - Cecelia Spears; and 3rd place - Adrian Corcoran. The theme was "What Makes America Great."
