The purpose of this pilot program is to understand whether sending at-home COVID-19 test kids home with children and families is an effective way to lessen the spread of COVID-19. Alcona Middle/High will operate on a soft lockdown for the remainder of the day. We evaluated a potential threat, but after review with law enforcement, deemed it not credible.

Save the date! The Alcona Junior Honor Society is hosting a middle school dance afterschool on December 17th.


Alcona 4th grade students visited Besser Museum to extend learning for their Biodiversity project in the school forest. Students immersed themselves in the planetarium's habitat movie and explored taxidermy of Michigan mammals and fish. They were treated to the trees of the nations display and even a roller coaster ride in the planetarium!




Alcona 2022 Seniors - Please check your student email and complete the Senior Survey ASAP. Part of the survey is to upload senior and baby pictures (if that is the hold up see Mrs. Somers and/or Mrs. Cordes). Completion of this survey allows us to get ready for graduation!
