Alcona Tool Cats welcomed representative Kelsey Hanson from ESI (Employment Services, Inc.) for a demonstration of their competition robot. ESI is a long time supporter of the Alcona robotics program. The compamy continued their generosity with a $1,000 donation. Thank you, ESI!

Yearbook early sales start this week! Sales for both the MS and HS yearbooks will take place this week, February 17th - 21st, during both lunches. Prepaying for your yearbook ensures that you will have a book AND gets you a nice discount! MS book = $15 for prepaid sale; (price will increase to $20 in the spring) HS book = $35 for prepaid sale; (price will increase to $40 in the spring) Be sure to reserve your copy as only LIMITED quantities of yearbooks will be available in the spring at FULL price.

Alcona staff members recently toured the 9 CTE programs at Alpena High School. Did you know Alcona students can take CTE classes at APS? During the tour staff practiced taking a radial pulse in the health care lab, flying a drone in the business & technology lab, and more!
Alcona HS students had the opportunity to network with professionals from TBNMS and NEMIGLSI. This career experience allowed students to learn about the opportunities available within each organization. Students were also able to tour TBNMS and learn more about Shipwreck Alley.
Due to illnesses, the JV/Varsity Girls basketball game scheduled for tomorrow in Mio has been rescheduled for February 28th in Mio.
