There will be an informational meeting, for 6-8 grade students planning to participate in track and field, on Friday March 6th during middle school lunch in the innovation lab. Start of practice for this group will be 4-6-20 officially, with some earlier dates discussed at MTG.
Reminder: Band & Choir Concert is tomorrow (3/4) at 6:00 pm in the auditorium. Students need to arrive by 5:30 and sit in the auditorium with their instrument and class. Doors will open at 5:45. Concert is free and open to the public, so invite everyone!
The High School Band returned to District 9 Festival after receiving their last score in 2010. The Band received a Division III Good Rating! We are so proud of the progress these students have made in the few years they have been playing and we look forward to next year. Bravo!
Rose Schopfer earned first place at the Michigan Junior Science & Humanities competition at Wayne State! Rose was assisted in her research by Jerzey Brown. Great work, all!

Alcona HS students attended a career experience trip to the US Fish & Wildlife Service in Alpena. USFWS is a federal agency that protects endangered species, manages migratory birds, restores fish/wildlife habitat, and enforces laws to protect fish/wildlife for the United States.
