We’re looking for individuals to serve as AmeriCorps members this summer (June 6 - August 13) with Michigan Education Corps Summer Corps. Graduating seniors age 18 are eligible to apply. You’re invited to the 2022 Honor Society Induction! We will be recognizing our middle and high school AJHS and NHS members on Wednesday, April 20 at 6pm in the Auditorium. Please join us in celebrating the accomplishments of our student leaders.

As Michigan students return to school for a new year, access to affordable and reliable internet access is vital for their success. The Michigan Department of Education recently shared information about the emergency broadband benefit (EBB) program; which allows eligible households to enroll in an EBB discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 towards the purchase price. Carter Upper, a member of Alcona High's National Honor Society, organized a school trail clean-up this weekend for his Individual Service Project. Thank you to all who showed up and helped sweep the trail!



Home track meets are going to be starting soon. If anyone is interested in helping at track meets please contact Rachel Somers or Joy Bullis. Help is needed for high jump, long jump, pole vault, shot put, and discus. Nothing to strenuous and we will train you up! Go Tigers!!

Alcona Tool Cats did extremely well this weekend! They ended up the captain of the 2nd place alliance. Outstanding job - Peter Brege, Jacob Renchenski, ElliMae Spalding, Jacob June, and Sam Johnston! Also a huge shout out to Adam Brege - Mentor, Angie Spalding, and Mr. Brege.


Donkey Kong and the Tool Cats are in the finals!!!! Seed 1 agsinst Seed 2. This going to be awesome!


The Robot "Donkey Kong" is doing so well that they finished 3 in qualification! They are the captain of alliance 2 with Team 3767 and Team 5504. Playoffs start shortly! GO TIGERS!!
